The band is genuine two-layer cowhide, doubled into two parallel strands so it holds its shape without feeling heavy. The smooth version has a clean, rounded surface; the braided version is woven into a flatter, textured band. Leather like this breaks in over time and takes on the shape of the wrist.
The hardware is the focus: a broad polished end cap, a curved hook and a matching keeper on the other strand. The metal is electroplated in gold-tone or silver-tone, kept smooth and unbranded so nothing catches on a cuff. Leather and water do not mix: take it off for the shower, the pool and the sea.
How to wear it
With a white tee and denim it carries the look by itself.
