You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in inches.
- Find that diameter in the table below.
With a strip of paper
- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in inches: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
No ruler? A bank card is 3.4" long: count how many fit along your strip.

Half sizes sit halfway between two rows (about 0.4 mm of diameter).
Good to know: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger. Wide bands (8 mm and more) feel tighter: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized, so it is worth measuring twice.
Hard tungsten outside, warm oak grain on the inside.
Atlas carried what no one else could. A ring that sits on a working hand needs some of that hardness. The outside of this band is tungsten carbide, brushed matte and framed by polished beveled edges, with high resistance to scratches. The inside is a sleeve of genuine oak wood, a private detail only you see, with its own grain on every ring. Offered in US sizes 6 to 15, with half sizes across most of the range.
- Highly scratch-resistant tungsten carbide
- Oak wood inner sleeve, unique grain
- Take it off for the shower to spare the oak
Details & specs
The outer ring is tungsten carbide, one of the hardest materials used in jewelry, with high resistance to scratching from keys, desks and tools. The exterior is brushed to a matte silver-tone finish that keeps reflections low, and polished beveled edges frame the central band for a clean, defined profile.
Inside, a sleeve of genuine oak wood lines the band. Every piece of oak has its own grain, so no two rings look exactly alike from the inside. The wood is the part that needs care: it does not like long soaking, so this is a ring for dry hands rather than one to keep on in the shower.
How to wear it
It works with casual and formal clothing alike. Wear it alone for a minimal look, or next to a watch on a leather strap, where the warm tones answer each other. The neutral matte grey goes with a simple t-shirt, a flannel shirt or a business suit. On the ring finger it reads as a calm everyday band with a natural side.
Choosing your size
Sizes offered: US 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 11.5, 12, 12.5, 13, 13.5, 14, 14.5 and 15. There is no size between 10 and 11.5, so check carefully if he falls in that zone. A snug fit suits a band of this style, so have the finger sized at a jeweler if you can, ideally late in the day.
Why this piece
Hard to scratch
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewelry, so the outside resists the scuffs and scratches of daily use.
A touch of nature
The oak sleeve brings a warm, organic contrast to the cool metal, and its grain makes your ring different from the next one.

Questions
Should the oak-lined tungsten ring come off before a shower?
Yes. The tungsten carbide outside is not the issue, but the oak sleeve against your skin dislikes long soaking. It is a ring for dry hands.
Is it tough enough for every day?
Yes for the outside: tungsten carbide is extremely hard and resists scratches. The wood inside is the gentle part, so keep it dry and clean the metal with a soft cloth.
Are half sizes available?
Yes, in half steps from 6 to 10 and from 11.5 to 15. There is no size between 10 and 11.5, so measure carefully if he sits in that zone.
Is the oak on the outside?
No. The oak is a sleeve inside the band, a private detail against your skin. The outside is brushed matte silver-tone tungsten carbide with polished bevels.
Is it real wood?
Yes, genuine oak, so every sleeve has its own grain and no two rings look the same inside.
I measure an 11: what should I order?
There is no 10.5 or 11 in this ring, as sizes jump from 10 to 11.5. Measure late in the day; if you read 11, the 11.5 gives a little room, while 10 will likely feel tight.
Can the wood crack?
It can if it is soaked and dried again and again, which is why the ring should come off for the shower. Kept dry, the sleeve holds its shape.
What does the warranty not cover on a wood-lined ring?
The 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Normal wear, accidents and chemical damage are not covered, so keep the oak dry and away from cleaning products.
