You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in inches.
- Find that diameter in the table below.
With a strip of paper
- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in inches: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
No ruler? A bank card is 3.4" long: count how many fit along your strip.
| US | EU | UK | Diameter | Circumf. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 49 | J½ | 0.62" | 1.94" |

Half sizes sit halfway between two rows (about 0.4 mm of diameter).
Good to know: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger. Wide bands (8 mm and more) feel tighter: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one.
A deep red stone set flat on top of a wide signet face.
Atlas shouldered the sky and kept his footing. A signet ring suits a man with that kind of steadiness, and this one adds a deep red stone. The titanium steel band tapers from a wide, flat face to a slimmer shank, and a faceted red stone sits in a raised bezel on top. The facets pick up light whenever your hand moves. Gold-tone reads warm and classic; black reads harder and quieter.
- Steel band that does not rust
- Faceted red stone in a raised bezel
- Gold-tone or black, US 8 to 12
Details & specs
The ring is made from titanium steel, a stainless steel alloy that resists rust and corrosion and holds a polish. The band tapers from a wide, flat face down to a slimmer shank, so it sits heavy on top without crowding the fingers beside it. The shoulders carry a smooth mirror surface that frames the stone and catches light along the sides.
A single faceted red stone with a step-cut top is held in a raised bezel, which shields the edges of the stone and keeps the profile clean. It is a red stone, not a ruby, and we say so. The gold-tone and black colors are electroplated finishes. Both versions carry the same stone and exactly the same shape.
How to wear it
Wear it on the ring or middle finger of your dominant hand and let it stand alone: a wide signet like this does not need a stack. Gold-tone works with a white tee and a warm-toned watch, or under a cuff with a dark suit for a wedding or a night out. Black keeps things low-key with denim, leather and matte gray tones.
Choosing your size
The ring comes in US sizes 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Measure a ring you already wear on the same finger, or wrap a strip of paper around the finger and compare the length to a US size chart. Wide bands sit tighter than thin ones, so if you are between sizes or have larger knuckles, take the next size up.
Why this piece
A stone that carries the ring
The step-cut red stone is the focal point, bezel set so the color stays framed and the facets catch light from several angles.
Two finishes, two moods
Gold-tone for a classic signet feel, black for a more modern, understated look. Same stone in both.

Questions
Can the red stone signet stay on in the shower?
Yes for everyday water: the titanium steel does not rust, and the raised bezel shields the edges of the stone. Rinse off chlorine or salt and dry it to keep the electroplated color even.
Is the red stone a ruby?
No. It is a faceted red stone, cut and polished to reflect light like a gem, not a mined ruby.
Which red stone signet finish suits denim and leather?
Black, which keeps things low-key with denim, leather and matte gray tones. Gold-tone gives a classic signet feel with a warm-toned watch or a dark suit.
Is this ring for men?
Yes. It is a men's signet: a wide, flat face tapering to a slimmer shank, offered in US sizes 8 to 12.
What is a bezel setting?
A rim of metal that wraps around the edge of the stone and holds it in place. Here the raised bezel shields the edges of the stone and keeps the profile clean.
What is a step cut?
A cut with straight, parallel facets stepping down from a flat top, like stairs. It gives the red stone clean lines rather than a round sparkle.
Is the stone the same on both colors?
Yes. Gold-tone and black carry the same red stone and the same shape; only the electroplated color of the steel changes.
Is the band wide all the way around?
No. It tapers from the wide, flat face down to a slimmer shank, so it sits heavy on top without crowding the fingers beside it.
