Two minutes with a strip of paper or a soft tape and you will order the right size first time.
Shown in inches and US sizesMeasure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in inches.
- Find that diameter in the table below.
With a strip of paper
- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in inches: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
No ruler? A bank card is 3.4" long: count how many fit along your strip.
| US | EU | UK | Diameter | Circumf. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 49 | J½ | 0.62" | 1.94" |

| 16 | 77 | Z+6 | 0.97" | 3.04" |
Half sizes sit halfway between two rows (about 0.4 mm of diameter).
Good to know: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger. Wide bands (8 mm and more) feel tighter: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized, so it is worth measuring twice.
Black metal, dark wood grain and a strip of shifting color.
Atlas bore the sky at the edge of the world. Your load is the everyday kind, and this band keeps you company through it. It is black tungsten carbide, polished smooth, with a dual inlay set into the center: dark acacia wood framing a channel of iridescent crushed opal. The wood brings warmth, the opal brings flashes of color, and the band has a comfortable weight you notice on the finger.
- Scratch-resistant band that will not bend
- Acacia wood framing crushed opal
- US 5, then 6 to 16.5 in half sizes
Details & specs
The ring is made from tungsten carbide, a metal known for its substantial weight and exceptional hardness. That makes the band highly resistant to scratching and bending from daily wear. The interior is polished for a smooth, comfortable fit, and the outer surface carries a polished black finish. The black is a plated finish, and we say so.
Set into the center is a dual inlay. Two strips of dark acacia wood frame a narrow channel of iridescent crushed opal fragments, and each fragment reflects its own spectrum of color. Wood and opal are natural materials that dislike soaking and harsh chemicals, so the inlay asks for a little care while the tungsten takes the everyday knocks.
How to wear it
The blend of modern black and natural materials makes it easy to wear. Put it on with a simple t-shirt or a knit sweater, or let it add a personal touch to business casual. It also works as a distinctive wedding band for a man who does not want plain metal. A leather-strap watch on the same side keeps the look warm and coherent.
Choosing your size
Sizes start at US 5, then run from 6 to 16.5 in half sizes, so broad hands are covered too. A good fit is snug enough not to slide off, but loose enough to pass over the knuckle. Have the finger measured professionally if you can, or compare with a ring he already wears on the same finger. If you are between sizes, take the larger one.
Why this piece
Built not to bend
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest metals used in jewelry. It strongly resists scratches and keeps its shape and polish through daily wear.
Natural materials, modern frame

Questions
Can I do the dishes with the acacia wood and opal tungsten band on?
Better not. The tungsten carbide does not rust, but the acacia wood and crushed opal dislike soaking, so slip the ring off for dishes, the shower and the pool.
How should I clean it?
Use a soft cloth, slightly damp with mild soap and water, then dry the ring fully. Keep harsh chemicals and cleaning products away from the wood and opal inlay.
Can I wear it as a wedding band?
Yes. The polished interior keeps it comfortable all day, the band resists scratches and bending, and the wood and opal make it more personal than plain metal.
What is acacia wood?
A hardwood from acacia trees, known for its warm brown tone and visible grain. Here two dark strips of it frame the opal channel.
Is the black polished or matte?
Polished. The outer surface carries a polished black plated finish that is smooth to the touch.
How is the inlay laid out?
Two strips of dark acacia wood run along the band, with a narrow channel of crushed opal between them. The wood brings warmth and the opal brings flashes of color.
Is size 16 available?
Yes. After size 5, the ring runs from 6 to 16.5 in half sizes, so 16 and 16.5 are both offered.
Can he exchange it if the size is off?
We do not offer exchanges. Within 30 days of receiving it, an unworn ring in its original packaging can be returned, with return shipping at your cost, and the right size ordered.
