The band is genuine leather, cut slim and flat so it follows the curve of the wrist rather than standing away from it. Leather like this breaks in over time, picking up a softer feel and a natural patina from daily use. It is the part of the bracelet that needs care: keep it out of long soaks.
The centerpiece is a titanium steel shackle, closed by a threaded pin with a knurled head you turn by hand. Steel keepers hold the strap ends on either side. The steel parts do not rust; the leather is what decides how the bracelet ages, and with a little care it ages well.

Two lengths: 7.3 in (18.5cm) and 8.3 in (21cm). Wrap a tape measure around the wrist just below the bone. Take 7.5 in if it measures around 6.5 to 7 in and you like a close fit; take 8.5 in from about 7.5 in up, or if you prefer some movement. Buying as a gift without a measurement, 8.5 in is the safer choice.
